Ms. Brown graduated from the University of Southern Mississippi in Hattiesburg, Ms. with a Bachelors of Science from the College of Liberal Arts, in Communications with a Minor in Business Management and Sociology.

Before coming to work for AJFC Community Action Agency, Inc. she worked for the Department of Human Services in Adams, Franklin, and Pike Counties for eleven years holding several positions. She began working for AJFC in March of 2000 as the Parent Involvement Specialist, providing parent, staff, self assessment and policy council training.

In April of 2003 she became the Affordable Housing Coordinator and the Individual Development Account Program Administrator. Ms. Brown also serves as the Agency's lead grant writer generating over 2 million dollars to date.

Ms. Brown is a certified Homebuyer Education Trainer and Credit counselor for the Consumer Credit Services of New Orleans. She is currently pursuing an Affordable Housing Professional Certification from the Neighbor Works Neighborhood Reinvestment Corporation Training Institute as well as a Masters in Guidance and Counseling from Alcorn State University.
